Honorable Doug Camacho

Doug Camacho serves as Judge of Division 8 for the Mohave County Superior Court. He is the Presiding Probate Judge and currently oversees a docket primarily consisting of civil and mental health matters. Throughout his judicial service, Judge Camacho has presided over a broad range of cases, including criminal, domestic relations, civil, juvenile, guardianship, conservatorship, probate, and mental health matters.

Judge Camacho graduated cum laude from Brigham Young University in 1997 and earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2001, graduating in the top third of his class. He was admitted to the Arizona State Bar in July 2001.

Judge Camacho began his legal career in private practice in Bullhead City, Arizona, handling both civil and criminal matters. In February 2002, he joined the Mohave County Attorney’s Office as a prosecuting attorney, serving until July 2003. He then established a private practice in Branson, Missouri, where he represented clients in criminal, civil, juvenile, and family law matters.

In December 2005, Judge Camacho returned to the Mohave County Attorney’s Office as a felony prosecutor, a position he held until July 2015. On July 13, 2015, he was sworn in as a Court Commissioner and Judge Pro Tempore after being appointed by then-Presiding Judge Charles Gurtler. On September 8, 2025, Governor Katie Hobbs appointed Judge Camacho to serve as Judge of Division 8 of the Mohave County Superior Court.
